Marc Macaranas

Marc (ensemble) joined Lucky Plush in 2006, originated roles in Cinderbox 2.0, The Queue, SuperStrip, and Happy Returns, and joined the touring cast of Rink Life. Marc has also performed in Chicago and across North America and Europe with Mordine & Co. Dance Theater, DanceWorks Chicago, Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre, Luna Negra Dance Theater, RUBBERBANDANCEGroup, and others. As a Movement Media Maker, he choreographs for proscenium stages, non-traditional spaces, and cell phone screens. He creates interactive media installations and projection design for dance and theatre, and his dance and media work has been commissioned by The Big Muddy Dance Company and Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre. Marc has conducted workshops, master classes, and teaching residencies across the country for dance studios, circus schools, professional companies, and university dance programs. He holds a BA in Dance from UC Irvine, an MFA in Dance from the University of Iowa, and is an Assistant Professor at Northern Illinois University.
