A. Raheim White
Raheim (ensemble), joined Lucky Plush in 2016, originated roles in Rooming House, Rink Life and Curb Candy, and joined the touring cast of SuperStrip and Cinderbox 2.0. A Chicago native, Raheim earned his MFA from New York University Tisch School of the Arts and his BFA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), both in Dance Performance and Choreography. While at UIUC, Raheim studied abroad in Taiwan to train in Classical Chinese Dance, Dance Meditation, Acrobatics, and Kung Fu at the Taipei National University of the Arts. Raheim has performed with the Sean Curran Company, Project 44, and Trainor Dance, among others. He has choreographed work for Opera Lafayette of Washington D.C, UIUC's Theater Department, Dance Africa Pittsburg, and for a variety of summer programs. As a master instructor, he has taught at The American Dance Festival, New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Point Park University, Barnard College at Columbia University, University of Hawaii - Manoa, Towson University, UIUC, Gibney Dance and Dance New Amsterdam. Raheim is also a Reiki Master-Teacher and he strives to facilitate healing through Reiki, education, dance, and dialogue.
